MEMBERSHIP

How do I become a member?

You become a member by completing a short (about two minute) registration and accepting our invitation to join TechKnowledge Opinion Panel™. You can then continue on to complete your profile, which will automatically enter you into our drawing for $5,000 cash as a thank you for your time.   Click here to join.

What rewards can I expect as a member of the panel? 

We value our panelists' opinions, and to show our appreciation, we offer four ways for our panelists to earn cash rewards:

  • Every panelist who qualifies* for and completes a survey will earn a cash reward of $10 or more.   
  • When a panelist attempts to take a survey, but does not qualify* for the study, he or she is still rewarded with an entry to our $5,000 cash giveaway drawing .
  • Bonus reward: A panelist can increase their survey reward amount by faxing us their business card. Completing this step is worth an additional $3 over and above any survey reward amount each time you qualify for and complete a survey!
  • As a thank you for joining, new panelists are entered into our quarterly $5,000 cash giveaway drawing upon completion of their profile.

* Most surveys will ask a few qualifying questions up front in order to determine if a panelist meets the qualifications for that particular study.  If a panelist does not meet the qualifications, he or she will still be rewarded with an entry to our $5,000 cash giveaway drawing as a thank you.

How often does the $5,000 cash giveaway take place?

This drawing will be held once every quarter, for a total of four times per year.

Will membership ever cost me anything?

No, membership will always be free. (If you paid money for list of survey sites, please be aware that the TechKnowledge Opinion Panel™ is not associated in any way with companies that charge a fee to join online panels or to obtain lists of survey sites.  If you have seen our site on such a list it appeared without our consent, and we suggest you contact the seller of the list and request a refund.

How do I change my email address, update my profile information, or delete my membership? 

Go to My Account and log in using your username and password, then select from the menu of options.  We will automatically respond to this request within one or two business days, and you will receive email confirmation of the deletion or update.

REWARD PAYMENT

When will I receive my reward? 

Each time you qualify and complete a survey, we will mail a check to you in approximately six weeks.  Please be sure that we have your correct mailing address.  Click here to update your address

How much have I earned? 

You will be notified of how much you have earned at the end of each survey you take or attempt to take.  

How will I know if I was selected as a winner in a cash prize drawing?

Winners will receive email notification requesting postal address verification and an affidavit of eligibility so that a check can be issued and mailed.

Do my rewards expire?

As long as you remain active within the panel, your cash rewards do not expire. However, panelists who do not respond to a survey invitation or other request for action for a period of six months will be removed from the TechKnowledge Opinion Panel™, and any unpaid rewards may be forfeited. Membership and/or accumulated rewards may be reinstated at our discretion.

 

SURVEYS

I tried to take a survey, but I didn't qualify.  Why not? 

Sometimes a survey calls for respondents who meet very specific criteria.  This may be because our client requires feedback from specific job titles, or people who use a particular type of software, for example.  Please watch your email; we will continue to contact you for future survey opportunities.  To increase the chances that you will qualify for future surveys, complete your profile.   Click here to complete your profile.

What is the difference between a profile and a survey?

  • The profile tells us a little about you and allows us to target you for surveys that match your interests or experience.  You can complete your profile at your leisure in the My Account area.
  • From time to time, you will receive invitations via email to client-paid surveysSurveys are studies in which you will be asked to provide your opinions on specific products, services, or advertisements. A survey is open only for a limited time, until the response quota is met.

How long does it take to complete a survey?

Survey length is strictly dependent upon the study.

Did you receive my survey?

If you reached a "thank you" page at the end of a survey, that means we received your response with no problems.

How can I be notified of new surveys? 

We will send survey invitations to the email address you provided for us in your profile. 

Who are the clients behind your surveys?

We conduct hundreds of surveys each year for research firms and technology firms who rely on your professional opinions and input.

 

TECHNICAL PROBLEMS

What if I have technical difficulties with a survey?  

Use the link provided in the survey to contact us for help or call 1-866-249-4294 regarding any questions you have about the survey.  Messages left after 5:00 p.m. Central Time will be responded to on the following business day.

What if I find a mistake, typo, or an inactive link on your Web site?

Please let us know! Although we strive to be flawless, we know that these things happen. Call 1-866-249-4294. You may earn a reward.

 

PRIVACY

What do you do with the profile information I filled out when signing up?

Your response data is stored on our secured server which allows us to invite only panelists who match specific survey criteria to participate. This process is completely automated and panelists are invited via email by the TechKnowledge Opinion Panel™ to participate in our secure surveys. All responses are held in aggregate, which means that individual responses are not linked to personally identifiable information.  The information you provide will never be used to advertise or sell to you. You will never be required to buy any product or service to participate, nor will any affiliate company solicit you as a result of joining the TechKnowledge Opinion Panel™.  See our privacy policy for more details.
